Dooley, Mason, and I founded Dooligans Wellness Therapy initially because Dooley was in pain. Dooley is a nimble ninja and a fancy dressage Irish sport horse. We're all getting up in our years and the family joke is -- who uses the PEMF machine more - Dooley, Mason, or me.
My initial goal - like every animal mom - was to extend his quality of life. My mentor and trainer - Chelsea Palmer - recommended I look into an electromagnetic therapy machine. The results were life changing! I tried it on myself and my dog, Mason - and thought - "why haven't I heard about this technology before?
I've always wanted to own my own business so I followed my dream and now offer wellness services to people, dogs, and horses in the Northern & Central New Jersey, Buck's County, PA and Orange County, New York area.
I'm a Magnawave certified PEMF practitioner and an Equissage International certified canine and equine massage therapist.
As a "recovering" Corporate America Executive, I decided to pursue my passion helping animals. I started horseback riding as an adult in Budapest, Hungary and quickly fell in love with the deep engagement, loyalty, and responsibility of the relationships.
As a former collegiate athlete, I am grateful and respect Dooley as an athlete (and member of my family) and wholeheartedly believe in the benefits of massage and PEMF therapy to alleviate pain or keep them performing at their best.
The business is named after my Irish Sporthorse, Dooligans (to the right), who taught me (along with my exceptional trainer Chelsea Nix of Penwick Sporthorses) to face my fears, be brave, commit to the fence, take calculated risks, enjoy the ride, and most of all - trust my partner.
Mason is my very patient....patient.
He comes from an accomplished line of rescue and cadaver dogs from the Northern Virginia area. While he has the intelligence and the talent - he doesn't have the drive. His accomplishments include hanging out at the barn, swimming in the pond and at the beach, and taking up most of the bed. He's a good ole boy.
Mason has taught me the best way to give a canine massage and where to apply the coils. He's even been known to try and cozy up to clients and piggyback off of their treatment sessions and receive some additional love. You can't blame a guy for trying.
It is so cool to have found a way to hang out with those that give so much to me all day long.
